Great post on the tools Steve Rubel uses to blog:
He starts at 4:30 or 5 AM every morning…
“I pick the best stuff and get it up on the blog early so it can reach European readers.” That’s an important audience, he emphasized.
I think I’m going to modify my schedule a bit here. I’m going to wake up at 5AM, crack open my laptop, blog for an hour, hit the gym, then maybe get some work done before blogging more.

Kevin, I have a solution you might try; one that I employ myself. It enables me to get my posts out well before our man Steve (what a masochist to get up so freaking early)has even dragged his blearly eyed self oughtta the sack…
I just stay up working until 2 or 3AM, grab the good news, post, and hit the hay…it’s only taken a few months and a couple of knock down drag-outs with friends, relatives and clients, but now my phone never rings before 11AM. This has the added benefit of effectively shortening the annoying part of the working day where people actually call you because they want something and best of all, I can catch all that great late night TV without feeling the least bit guilty about it.
Cheers (and coffee),

Hey Oliver.
Yeah. I’ve tried that but I just can’t seem to keep a regular schedule that way.
Now I just try to wake up early and then go to the gym. Seems to work better.
Though the problem is that I can’t seem to find the time to read my blogs and post…
Oh well.
