At the end of the Flickr party last week I ran around and gathered up all the balloons (don’t worry, I had permission). Then we took off and walked about 7 blocks to the EFF party and along the way I handed them out to complete strangers.

It was awesome! One of the coolest things I’ve ever done. When the stop light would turn red I’d walk up to cars offering free balloons. About 1/2 the cars had kids in the back and it was amazingly fun to see the look on their faces when they got a free balloon. This is what Santa must feel like! (only with Flickr balloons).

The problem is that I had too many balloons at the end of the night and I couldn’t get into the club. As luck would have it a group of (cute!) girls came by and it turned out that one of them was the birthday girl! … so she gets 50 balloons!

I asked them if they’d upload them to the Flickr group and tag them balloonman so we’ll see. It would be amazingly cool to see what happened to the balloons after I gave them to a complete stranger.
