Looks like Claria wants to enter the Memetracker (or customized home page) market by shipping a browser based toolbar.

Claria said it would announce Monday the release of PersonalWeb, a service that will let people download a piece of tracking software and receive a home page filled with news stories and other information tailored to their interests.

This is more similar to the implicit tuning present in Findory but uses a browser based agent to provide the tuning. Of course marketers will love this but will people flock to install a product developed by a spyware company?
