Prioritized Feed Reading 2

Here’s a cool idea I had today while using NetNewsWire.Every time I find a cool story or link from a feed I manually drag it up one level so that it swaps positions with the feed above it.This of course has some potential use in Tailrank and online aggregators but I still need to think about it for a while.

Bloggercon 2006 Podcast 0

If you’re like me you need the Bloggercon 2006 MP3s in podcast format so you can listen to them on your iPod while you’re walking around in the Haight.

The Wifi Coffee Shop is the New Garage 1

One of the first things Jobs did when they got some money was to rent office space. He wanted Apple to seem like a real company. For the most part Tailrank is a company operating out of wifi coffee shops.

New Ultramobile Devices? 0

Engadget has this pretty cool device from our friends over in South Korea:If the recent flurry of UMPCs and other such devices hasn’t quite hit the sweet spot for your mobile lifestyle, SODIFF has a new WiBro device in the works with a 4.3-inch screen and a slide-out keyboard that just might do the trick…. So it runs WiBro which you can’t have one.

Connexion Might Disconnect 2

is considering selling the unit or shutting it down altogether, according to people familiar with the situation. The Chicago aerospace company has reached out to a number of commercial-satellite operators and other potential suitors who might be interested in buying the business or becoming a major partner, these people said. If Boeing can’t reach a suitable deal, said one person familiar with the talks, the company is prepared to pull the plug on the service, even though it works as advertised and is being used by a handful of international airlines on long-haul flights, including Lufthansa, Japan Airlines, Singapore Airlines and others.

Help Us Podcast Barcamp (Need Hardware) 0

We’re trying to create podcasts for Barcamp SF this weekend yet we don’t have the hardware. Can anyone help us out? Here’s the problem.

Gmail Needs a Three Pane Interface 1

The key thing is that it just works. The crazy thing is that I don’t ever remember a point in time where I made the decision to switch. I just setup the account for private email and I just kept using it for more and more stuff and next thing you know nearly all my email is now stored on Google servers. After six months or so of hard core use I’m noticing two significant problems:1.

The Hard Issues (Switching from OS X) 5

Looks like Mark Pilgrim and Tim Bray are switching away from OS X and potentially migrating to Ubunto (which looks pretty sweet)…. I switched two years ago and Linux still doesn’t have copy/paste, suspend, or easy to use wifi.

My Kingdom for an OS X TypePad Comment Approval App 2

TypePad gets too much spam (though I’m sure they’re still blocking 99% of it) to allow for open comments and their approval system is just way too slow. Its also impossible to READ the comment in TypePad before I can approve it so I end up having to go to the blog and read the thread there.I’d KILL for a comment reading and threading mechanism with easy approval of comments.Maybe this would be a nice new feature in Ecto.
