Go OpenDNS Go!

Check out OpenDNS. Basically you change your DNS settings to use their servers (208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 specifically) and you get all sorts of cool features like phishing protection, URL correction, etc.

This reminds me of a cool idea I thought of a few years back. You could replace ads for users by capturing the IP addresses for popular ad servers and replacing the ads with your ads so therefore YOU would get a cut by allowing the advertisers to pay you directly.

That ad networks might be a bit upset of course but the advertisers could probably care less as long as they get the same (and accurate) impressions.

PhotoMatt blogs about it as well and you can read the full thread over on Tailrank.
