Sony was nice enough to install an open Wifi access point in San Francisco’s Metreon. One downside is that they went and installed a HTTP proxy to prevent visiting “naughty” websites. Sure enough a visit to playboy.com will result in the following error message:
Fair enough. Not many people need to visit playboy at the Metreon but I only realized they were using Websense when I tried to get to filmloop which they’re blocking as “Peer-to-Peer File Sharing”. Very strange!
Seems like BoingBoing has had similar issues.
