Google has officially announced the acquisition of Feedburner today.
I also have it on good authority that Yahoo approached Feedburner nearly a year ago about an acquisition and they walked away. Apparently they were looking to get $30M but this price tag was just too much for Yahoo.
Of course hindsight is always 20/20.
