Google is showing Feedburner redirect URLs in their search results. They’re using the link: http://feeds.latimes.com/~r/topoftheticket/~3/408704356/palin-couric.html which is a Feedburner redirect URL which they use in RSS feeds to help in tracking. Google has officially announced the acquisition of Feedburner today. I also have it on good authority that Yahoo approached Feedburner nearly a year ago about an acquisition and they walked away. Apparently they were looking to get $30M but this price tag was just too much for Yahoo. Of course hindsight is always 20/20.

They’re now edging out NewsGator (its neck and neck though). Hopefully Yahoo, Google, or Microsoft will take note and buy them so I can get a phat new Mac Pro (I want one so bad)!Where is Google Reader?

Mike Sansome has written up a great post on how to setup RSS Autodiscovery with FeedBurner.If you’re using FeedBurner to track your feeds, are you sure that’s how readers are subscribing?… Even Seth Godin may have some tweaks to make.Before writing on FeedDemon 2.0, I decided to delete all feeds and start from scratch (I’ll explain why when I post about FeedDemon).
